Unique statues and plants adorn the front of this building. Licensed by Art Institute Of Chicago. Designed in the Classical Revival architectural style, The Art Institute of Chicago was originally built as part of the World's Colmbian Exposition, held in Chicago in 1893 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's landing in America. The building has many Beaux-Art details, with the main entrance on Michigan Avenue flanked by the two famous bronze lion sculptures. The lions have come to be symbols of Chicago, and are decorated with wreaths for the holidays in December. Mint condition piece in original box & sleeve. Size: 14" x 4.5" x 7.75".
