- "Theatre Of The Macabre" Dept. 56 Dickens Village All Hallows' Eve Item #58706. Introduced 2003 and retired 2005. The double door entrances flank the ticket booth. The 2nd floor turret room is facinating and a bit eerie. Mint condition piece in original box & sleeve. Theateregoers were a superstitious lot during the 19th century. On All Hallows' Eve the show "did not" go on in order for patrons to stay close to home and to avoid chance encounters with restless spirits. Inside the theater, a single light was kept burning day and night to ward off such apparitions. Size: 6.5 x 4 x 7"
