- "Amish Family" with mustache, set of 3 Dept. 56 New England Village Item #59480. Introduced 1990 and retired 1992. Mint condition piece in original box & sleeve. An Amish family works in the apple orchard. Mother with apples in apron, father stacks boxes, children sort apples. This hard to find 1st version of this piece was made with the Amish man having a mustache as well as a beard. Amish people have beards but they don't allow mustaches. Dept. 56 revised the item after they found out their designers didn't do their research too well. Notice the picture on the cardboard sleeve even shows the mustache.
