Glass making was America's first industry - created a dozen years before the arrival of the Pilgrims in 1620. According to the sign, this glassworks was established in 1843. At the glassworks, skilled craftsmen use age-old techniques to produce everything from simple drinking glasses to extraordinary stemware, by hand, one piece at a time. Notice the open hearth fire on the side and beautiful stainglass window in the front. Sign on the side says "Bottles, Jars, Goblets, Glasses".
