- "Harper's Farmhouse" Dept. 56 New England Village Item #56612. Introduced 1999, retired 2006. The main features of this rambling farmhouse are its wraparound porch, the clothes drying around the other side, and the 3 lighting rods on the roof. The cock-a-doodle-doo of a rooster signals the dawn of a new day at this family farmhouse. Thus the daily chores begin. Milking cows, feeding chickens, gathering eggs . . . all accomplished before breakfast. Surrounded by the beautiful New England landscape, morning duties are more like morning pleasures, as this homestead reminds us of a less complicated way of life. Mint condition piece in original box & sleeve. Size: 9" x 5" x 6.5". This piece goes with "Harper's Farm" which is actually the barn.
