The tall, narrow book and toy shop contrasts sharply with the shorter, wider, candy shop. Both shops have steep pitched roofs. A bay window on Obbie's side wall plus a number of dormer windows reinforce the angular look of the shop. O and L monograms within wreaths are part of spelling out of N-O-R-T-H-P-O-L-E.
